Hi! My name is Melissa Parrish and I am the owner and photographer of Lovely Day Photo located in Buffalo, New York. Upon graduating from Honeoye Falls – Lima high school, I attended the Art Institute of Pittsburgh on a portfolio scholarship. After college, I moved to Buffalo in 2002 where I managed four local portrait studio’s. In 2005 I left to pursue my dreams of opening my own photography studio. Lovely Day Photo was founded in 2007 and I work fulltime out of my studio in downtown Buffalo.
After being in the wedding and photography industry for over 10 years I can honestly say not only do I have the experience that you are looking for when hiring a professional photographer, but I also have a level of professionalism and Knowledge that comes with experience. Never pushy, I am the kind of photographer that will gracefully photograph your big day, newborn and family portrait session capturing candid moments and “coaching” you toward those timeless poses that are never cheesy.
As the main photographer of Lovely Day Photo I can only book one wedding per day and typically book 1 year in advance. Studio and location sessions book 3-4 weeks in advance and are scheduled Tuesday through Friday and weekends based on availability.
